Matt Prout

QUALIFICATIONS: MSc (Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy) PG Dip (Clinical Management of Pain) PG Cert (MSK Sonography), BSc Hons (Physiotherapy), Independent Prescriber, MCSP MMACP HCPC Registered

Matt graduated as a Physiotherapist in 1999. Since qualifying he has worked within several NHS departments. He has completed a Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy & Post-Graduate Diploma in Clinical Management of Pain. He is also a qualified Musculoskeletal Sonographer and Independent Prescriber.

Matt runs regular NHS and private ultrasound guided injection clinics in the Southeast. He is a regular lecturer for Sports Medicine Ultrasound Group, teaching clinicians on the principles of musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound guided steroid injections. He regularly supervises musculoskeletal sonography students within his NHS clinics whilst managing both acute and more chronic, complex musculoskeletal cases.

Advancing his clinical skills during his 23 years of clinical practice as a Physiotherapist has allowed Matt to combine both diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound guided steroid injections in a ‘one-stop shop’ clinic. This results in a specialised approach in the assessment and treatment of a wide variety of musculoskeletal complaints.
